Brian Eno + Baltic Sea Philharmonic in Utrecht

October 28th, 2023 – Brian Eno will perform ‘Ships’ with Baltic Sea Philharmonic, conducted and orchestrated by Kristjan Järvi

The legendary English musician, composer, producer, visual artist and ambient pioneer, Brian Eno, is coming to TivoliVredenburg for an exclusive performance in the Main Hall of his show ‘Ships’!

Eno started his career in the early 1970s as a band member of Roxy Music, then became a producer for David Bowie, Talking Heads and U2, achieved hero status with his ambient album Music For Airports (1978) and will not be out of the charts even in 2023. hit because of his collaboration with Fred Again.

This is Brian Eno’s first career solo tour and his first time on stage with an orchestra. The tour only visits five European cities, including Utrecht. The Baltic Sea Philharmonic is conducted by Kristjan Järvi, in addition to Brian Eno, actor Peter Serafinowicz and guitarist Leo Abrahams are also on stage. The centerpiece of these concerts is an orchestral adaptation of Eno’s critically acclaimed 2016 album ‘The Ship’, as well as new and classic Eno compositions.

Eno’s Ships tour will begin on Oct. 21 in Venice, Italy with two shows, one at 3 p.m. and one at 8 p.m. He’ll then make stops in Berlin, Germany; Paris, France; and finally in Utrecht.
