Update August 15, 2022: pictures and flashbacks from the event.
Uwe Saße wrote a nice review of this event on his website sequenzerwelten.
Richard de Boer (Elektronische Maschine) wrote: “I want to thank the audience for the wonderful reactions after our very successful performance. The organization of E-Circus has organized everything excellently. Thank you! We enjoyed the evening very much. It was amazing!”
Hans-Herman Hess wrote: “Electronic Circus Summer Edition, personal review (Summer Edition Borgholzhausen, Reviev Part 1) When the date sat in the middle of my calendar, I had no idea what other “events” would be hostile to him: but in the end the tennis team, classic car meeting and sports day had no chance. August 13th. Borgholzhausen. The historic day was reserved for the Electronic Circus, in the form of the summer edition. I was last at the Circus in 2018 and haven’t experienced a “pure” EM live since then. First of all: the four or five performances have all inspired me, albeit to different degrees, and reminded me of what was sorely missing: live music! Frank Gerber and Hans-Hermann Hess did everything right with their co-organizers. The choice of artists, location, sound and “culinary” ambience were just right for me! While the opener Martin Herbst was a bit reserved in “creating sound images”, sophisticated, intricate, but very varied and perhaps not suitable for all tastes with the thankless job of the first act, Michael Menze hit my nerve. But Martin gets a “second chance” from me – I will gradually listen to his digitally available repertoire. In terms of performance, he was definitely able to leave his keyboard castle with his “mobile” sound generators. Back to Menzmän: He has covered cleverly constructed backing tracks with wide and melodic arches of sound. Long excursions in sound never got boring! Eyes closed, ears alert. So you could dive into wonderful sound worlds for the first time. Surely the encore was more than deserved?”
And another couple of pictures. At this moment we try to find out who made these pictures, in order to put a correct (c) notice.
