(Updated) Synthplex – Burbank CA – Oct 27 till 30

Update October 16, 2022: Artist and exhibitors update.

The Bob Moog foundation will present at the Synthplex show, they wrote: At Synthplex, we’re expanding Dr. Bob’s SoundSchool. On Friday, October 28, we’re sharing two sessions of Dr. Bob’s SoundSchool with Los Angeles County students.

The experiential learning at Synthplex 2022 marks an expansion for our work sharing the science of sound: we are opening up Dr. Bob’s SoundSchool experiences beyond second-graders, to middle- and high-school students.

And this lucky group of students will not only get to experience the science of sound, but the science of synthesis as well.

An “all things synthesizer” electronic music festival & gear expo, Synthplex (co-founded by Bob Moog Foundation Board of Advisors member Michael Lehmann Boddicker) offers trade show exhibits, seminars, master sessions, industry speakers, DIY synth-building workshops, electronic music concerts and even a pop-up synth museum — plus a live remote interview with Jean-Michel Jarre.

Amongst the list of artists and presenters we noticed names such as Jean Michel Jarre, Suzanne Ciani, Jeff Beal, Patrick Gleeson, Robert Margouleff, Dave Rossum, Jordan Rudess, Axel Fischer, Paul Wiffen, Mike Metlay, Rachel Flowers and many more.
