The American art-pop duo Sparks, or brothers Ron and Russell Mael, have been one of the most innovative and idiosyncratic bands in the world for 50 years. In the mid-1970s, Sparks put itself on the map with two world hits: This Town Ain’t Big Enough For The Both Of Us and Amateur Hour. Fast forward to this decade and Sparks are just as creative and productive. In 2020 the 24th album A Steady Drip, Drip, Drip was released, in 2021 there was a documentary (The Sparks Brothers by Edgar Wright) and on May 26 there will be a new album with a title that only Sparks can think of: The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte!
