Thorsten Quaeschning looks back at 19 years being part of Tangerine Dream: “Madams, Sirs – 19 years – that is, at least for me, a unbelievable long time! 19 years ago, in 2003, I took my first flight to Vienna to meet Edgar and to work on several project like Purgatorio, Dali, etc… In the late summer 2004 Edgar, Jerome and I began to compose the music for our Jeanne d’Arc album. In 2005 I had the honour and pleasure to play also my first concerts with Tangerine Dream. Many things happened, I hopefully learnt all lot, sharing very productive 12 years, the great Master, Edgar sadly passed away in 2015. So nearly two decades after my first day working with Edgar, and over 80 releases later, it´s also unbelievable, that Tangerine Dream are still there and here and following the path, exploring new music & creating sounds inside our little microcosm.
So thank you so much for your support, time and often patience. There is still a lot to say and explore, so the journey goes on, may the trip continues for a long time, hopefully for some other decades. Yours, thorsten quaeschning
